I delete the printer - after reboot of the vm the vmware tools create it new - the problem still exist. Not with "thinprint" - an special driver, which comes with the vmware tools, i think. I think the hp-support-document doesn't help much - because it discuss an configuration with an "native" hp-printerdriver in a "real" or virtualized pc.
The upgrade to fusion 2.0.6 doesn't change anything of the printing problem. The vm runs without problems under osx 10.6.1 / fusion 2.0.5 without problems (beside of no printing)
Printing from inside the vm works without problems with osx 10.5.6 to 10.5.8 and fusion 2.0.4 and 2.0.5 and the printer driver from hp Version 1.0.6 on mac-side The vm i'm using with fusion runs with xp home sp3 Native printing from osx works fine since 10.6.1 and the new printer driver. Now, download the HP Print Service Plugin on your device and you can start with the printing task by completing any connection process. Do it using the IP address of your printer.

Other than this, you may also use “netstat -r” command to find the IP address of all network routes as well as Printer Mac Address.
